Dr. Raymond Barker graduated from the University of Queensland Veterinary School in 2010.
He grew up on a mango orchard in the tropics of North Queensland, surrounded by beaches, kangaroos and cockatoos.
After graduating he worked in a mixed practice in Rural Queensland. He took a break from the sun and spent two years in the United Kingdom caring for companion animals and horses. Since then he has worked in small animal clinics throughout Australia looking after various creatures, from cats and dogs to possums and kookaburras. Most recently he worked at a small animal clinic in Ottawa.
Ray has a keen interest in nutrition, recognizing the impact it has on preventative health and the treatment of disease. His other areas of interest include dentistry and dermatology.
Now that he has settled in Parry Sound, he is enjoying canoeing, camping and cross-country skiing.
